Blood tests linked to heart-health risk
Heart health
These blood tests look at markers that doctors consider when assessing heart-health risk, such as cholesterol and inflammation. They do not check how the heart is working — that needs other examinations by a doctor. These tests don't diagnose anything on their own, and this isn't a recommendation to take any of them — a doctor decides which are relevant for you.
HbA1c
A blood test that shows your average blood glucose level over the past two to three months.
Lipid Profile (Cholesterol)
A blood test that measures the fats in your blood, used to assess your risk of heart disease.
Fasting Blood Sugar (Glucose)
A blood test that measures the amount of glucose (sugar) in your blood after you have not eaten for several hours.
CRP (C-Reactive Protein)
A blood test that shows how much inflammation there is in your body.

Chest pain, breathlessness or fainting needs urgent medical attention — do not wait for a test booking.
