Allergies

Allergen-specific blood tests

Allergies

An allergy blood test measures the body's response to particular allergens. It cannot diagnose an allergy on its own — a doctor reads it together with your symptoms and history. These tests don't diagnose anything on their own, and this isn't a recommendation to take any of them — a doctor decides which are relevant for you.

Allergy Blood Test (IgE)

A blood test that measures allergy-causing antibodies called immunoglobulin E (IgE) to help find out whether you have an allergy.

Speak with your doctor

Trouble breathing, swelling of the lips or throat or a widespread rash after eating or a sting is an emergency — get medical help immediately.
