Liver

Tests that look at liver function

Liver

Liver function tests check enzymes and proteins in the blood that can show how the liver is working. Hepatitis screening looks for viral infections that affect the liver. These tests don't diagnose anything on their own, and this isn't a recommendation to take any of them — a doctor decides which are relevant for you.

Liver Function Test (LFT)

A group of blood tests that measure substances made by your liver.

HIV and Hepatitis B & C Screening

Blood tests that check for signs of HIV infection or of a current or past viral hepatitis (hepatitis B and C) infection.

Speak with your doctor

Yellowing of the skin or eyes, dark urine or persistent belly pain should be seen by a doctor promptly.
