Blood donation is a selfless act that saves lives. Alongside donation, regular health checkups are a cornerstone of personal and public health — they help detect conditions early, monitor chronic conditions, and keep donors and patients safer.

Donation & Health Check Essentials
Why Donate Blood?
Blood cannot be manufactured. Donations support surgeries, trauma care, and chronic conditions.
Who Can Donate?
Generally healthy adults, 18–65 years, meeting weight and screening criteria. Specific eligibility is confirmed at donation.
Donor Safety
Blood is collected by trained staff at licensed blood centres, and every donation is tested for HIV, hepatitis B and C, syphilis and malaria.
Post-Donation Care
Drink plenty of fluids, avoid heavy work, and don't smoke or drive immediately afterwards. Follow the blood centre's instructions.
How Often?
Whole blood: at least 3 months (90 days) for men and 4 months (120 days) for women, under India's national guideline. Platelet donation has its own limits.
Benefits of Donating
Your donation can help several patients. Donating is voluntary and unpaid, and it is not a substitute for regular health checkups.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will donation affect my ability to get a health check?
A: Donation and health checks are separate. If you have a test booked, ask your doctor or the lab whether a recent blood donation could affect it, and follow their advice.
Q: Can I book a health check and donation on the same day?
A: Ask your doctor or the lab before booking on the same day as a donation. Whether a test is affected depends on the test, and they will advise you.
Q: How soon will I get lab reports?
A: Turnaround time varies by test — simple tests often within 24 hours, more complex panels may take longer. Estimated TAT is displayed at checkout.
Q: Is home collection available in my area?

Q: Who interprets my results?
A: Lab reports are provided by partner labs. The Platform does not provide medical interpretation; consult your doctor.
